Reflecting on learning journey so far
After completing Week 3 now, I can see how far I have come in terms of understanding and learning about 2.0 interaction in the learning environment. I am excited to see what else I will uncover as we go along, especially since I can't preview the upcoming module it keeps the suspense going! As I am growing and learning throughout this course, I am trying to keep in mind ways to incorporate tools not only in the classroom setting (as I have seven years of teaching experience) but also in training environments. My goal is to work as an instructional designer either for an educational company or in a corporate environment. I have decided to leave myself open to various opportunities as I know finding the right fit in terms of work takes the right team/opportunity.
I have explored various ways to incorporate 2.0 learning into the school environment in this blog and on social media posts and will continue to do so. However, it is the corporate setting that I need to do further thinking on. I worked in sales the past year, and have some exposure to the business world, and will create another upcoming post regarding my thoughts on the combination between 2.0 learning and training.
I am excited too to explore new tools in the upcoming weeks. It always requires me to step out of my comfort zone and it has been an exhilarating journey thus far. Looking forward to reading your experiences in your future blog posts.
ReplyDeleteLeaving yourself open to all opportunities is a great way to make it far in any field, especially instructional design. It's a field with so many ways to enter, and so few barriers. I started my ID career by doing tech support at a web development center, which turned into writing courses thanks to my history degree and background in writing and editing. There's always a need in the corporate world or in educational companies for quality trainers, so I'm excited for your journey and the successes along the way!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, both of you! Wishing you great success as well!
